Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

Men of Valor focuses on three key virtues for living the valorous life:
Honor
A man of honor is a man of integrity; he guards every word and action against any falsehood. Ephesians 4:25 says, “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.”
The goalposts: seek to do good and fight the good fight.

Chivalry
A man who is chivalrous shows respect for others.  He is considerate and puts others before himself. Philippians 2:3&4 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
The goalposts: mentor other men and to do right by serving where God has us.

Dedication
A dedicated man is one who has committed his whole self to Jesus, His people, and His mission.Romans 12:1&2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.  This is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
The goalposts: say no to have a stronger yes and live the adventure God calls us to

Meet Ups

2nd Saturday's 9:30-11:00am

Generally Men of Valor meets the 2nd Saturday of the month 9:30-11:00am to focus on one of the three figures of living the valorous life. There are other events as well to connect, serve, and help.

The Mountain

A project that will stretch you to be more like Jesus.

The mountain is a project that we take on to stretch us to become more like Jesus. It will be different for each man and each level they are at spiritually. The questions below give a basic structure to the project. Again, the idea is what will stretch you and help you be more like Jesus. The ONLY comparison is to who you were yesterday and how you want to be more like Jesus tomorrow. As men we want to celebrate those who don't just say they're Christian, but are willing to fight the good fight for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
